The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the schedule for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup on Tuesday, July 27, 2023. The opening match between defending champions England and New Zealand will be held on October 5, 2023. Bangladesh’s 2023 World Cup journey will be started two days later on October 7 with a match against Afghanistan in Dharamsala. Apart from Dharamshala, Bangladesh will play 9 matches of the group stage in Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi – these six venues in India.
After Afghanistan in Dharamsala, Bangladesh will also play against world champions England. Apart from this there are two matches each in Pune and Kolkata. Bangladesh will play hosts India on October 19 in Pune, followed by Australia on November 12 in their last match of the group stage.
Bangladesh’s first match in Kolkata on October 28. The opponents there are the champions of the current World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. Bangladesh will also play against Pakistan in Kolkata.

Bangladesh will play another team that has passed the qualifiers in Delhi. Apart from this, Bangladesh has one match each in Chennai and Mumbai. Bangladesh, who finished the World Cup Super League from three, are playing directly in the World Cup.

This tournament of 10 teams will be held in 10 venues. This year’s World Cup will begin with the match between the two teams England and New Zealand, who played the last final in Ahmedabad on October 5. The tournament will last for 46 days. There will be two semi-finals in Mumbai on November 15 and Kolkata on November 16. The final will be held in Ahmedabad on November 19.

Before the start of the tournament, warm-up matches will be held in Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati. Which will be between 29th September to 3rd October.
